Rockdale Police Officers made two felony arrests during the past week including:
• Randy Scott Whittle, 58, Rockdale, was arrested on Wednesday by Ofc. Parker and Ofc. Lentz for possession of a controlled substance (less than 1 gram).
• Demarcus Tindle, 34, Rockdale, was arrested on Saturday by Ofc. Hensley for assault/family violence impeding breath/circulation.
Accidents
Ofc. Hensley responded Sunday to East Cameron Avenue at Bonham for a 4-vehicle accident with no injuries. One vehicle, a white Escalade, fled the scene.
Arrests
Rockdale Police Officers made five arrests during the past week including one each for Capias warrant by RPD and Department of Corrections, a warrant for defective tail lamp, a warrant for failure to appear and bail jumping, displaying fictitious license plate and interfering with public duties.
Calls for service
RPD officers responded to 295 total calls for service during the past week with 103 being for 911 emergency service.
Incident report
There were 24 incidents on the report this week including nine for interview room, three for burglary of a vehicle, two for outstanding warrants and unauthorized use of motor vehicle, and one each for assault causes bodily injury family member, criminal trespass, assault family violence impeding breath/circulation, failure to comply with registration requirements, displaying fictitious license plate, interfering with public duties, possession of a controlled substance (less than 1 gram), criminal mischief ($100 to $750), theft and theft of $100 to $750.
