There were two felony arrests reported for the past week.
A 36-year-old Cameron man was arrested Thursday for possession of a controlled substance and theft. Another man, 35, was on a sheriff’s warrant for assault with a previous conviction.
Rockdale police officers worked a two-vehicle wreck Saturday on US 79. One of the vehicles was a box truck and the other an 18-wheeler.
Police responded to 298 calls with 124 being 911 calls
• Wednesday, 11 a.m., Rockdale Volunteer Fire Department responded to CR 429 and FM 487 for a grass fire.
• Thursday, 8:08 a.m., Rockdale Volunteer Fire Department unit 752 responded to the 400 block of West Cameron Road for a diesel spill.
• Friday, 5:01 a.m., Milano Volunteer Fire Department responded to Milano Elementary School because the fire alarm went off.
• Friday, 5:31 p.m., Rockdale Volunteer Fire Department responded to CR 334 for smoke coming from an attic.
• Saturday, 5:52 a.m., Rockdale Volunteer Fire Department responded to the 1400 block of East Cameron Avenue for a two-vehicle wreck.
• Saturday, 7:35 a.m., Milano Volunteer Fire Department along with the Sheriff’s Office responded to US 36 south for a one-vehicle accident.
• Saturday, 8:46 p.m., Gause Volunteer Fire Department responded to the 200 block of East Gause Boulevard, for a fire alarm going off but found no fire.
• Sunday, 6:27 a.m., Milano Volunteer Fire Department responded to south US 36 and CR 334 Loop for a one-vehicle accident.
• Monday, 1:25 a.m., Gause Volunteer Fire Department responded to US 79 and CR 341 for a stranded motorist call.
• Monday, 5:21 p.m., Rockdale Volunteer Fire Department responded to a senior care center on US 79 for a fire alarm going off, but no fire was found.
• Monday, 8:48 a.m., Milano Volunteer Fire Department along with the Sheriff’s Office and AMR responded to US 36 after a caller said there was a car that flipped and caught fire, but no accident was found.
