Officer Jeremiah Harden had to arrest Jacob Julius Mitchell, 35, of Rockdale on Tuesday on a Milam County warrant for bond forfeiture/prohibited substance in a correctional facility and another warrant for bail jumping/failure to appear.
Police also checked out a report of someone being hit in the face with a brick in the 500 block of Bowser Street. The incident occurred when a man answered a knock on his door and when he opened the door someone threw a brick at him.
Officer Harden also arrested a 49-year-old Rockdale man who was in a vehicle near the Aycock Center who would not give his name. The man was arrested on a charge of failure to identify fugitive from justice give false information.
Police issued tickets for driving with an invalid license, driving with no license, public intoxication and gave out nine speeding tickets.
In all police responded to 119 calls with 65 being 911 calls.
