Rockdale Police Officers made two felony arrests during the past week including:
• Caress Nichole Montelongo, 29, Rockdale, turned herself in on Tuesday to Sgt. Frankland at the Rockdale Police Department on an active parole warrant for forgery of government instrument, bail jumping and failure to appear.
• Phillip Rance Bennett, 37, Rockdale, was arrested on Sunday by Sgt. Frankland for burglary of habitation.
Accidents
RPD officers responded to three accidents during the past week including:
• Ofc. Lentz responded to 1920 West Cameron Avenue for a vehicle that ran into two fences and a grease trap near Gonzales Mexican Bar and Grill.
• Ofc. Davis responded to Brookshire Bros. parking lot for a two-vehicle accident with no injuries.
• O fc , P uente, Sg t. Frankland and Sgt. Hubnik responded to 1020 East Cameron Avenue for a two-vehicle accident. One vehicle hit a power pole and the other snagged a low hanging wire. Oncor and RVFD also responded.
Arrests
RPD officers made five arrests during the past week including one each for RPD Capias warrant for public intoxication, RPD Capias warrant for failure to appear, RPD Capias warrant for assault by contact/ threat, RPD Capias warrant for theft of property (less than $100), and driving with license expired with previous conviction.
Calls for service
Rockdale Police Officers responded to 318 total calls for service with 116 being for 911 emergency service.
Incident report
There were 21 incidents on the report this week including seven for interview room only, two for burglary of a building, two for outstanding warrants, and one each for assault, interview room/DOA, public intoxication, interview room arrest, harassment, possession of a controlled substance (4 to 200 grams), criminal mischief, burglary of habitation, fraudulent use/possession of identifying information (less than five), and driving with license expired with previous conviction.
