The Rockdale Police Department responded to six accidents during the past week.
On Wednesday Officer Krejci responded to a report of a two-vehicle accident in front of Dollar Tree.
On Thursday Officer Hubnik responded to a two-vehicle accident in front of Corona’s. There were no injuries, the wreck was not blocking the roadway and everyone involved was out of their vehicles.
On Friday Sargent Franklin responded to a hit and run accident that happened in front of Corona’s. An unknown vehicle hit a Chevy Trail Blazer while the owner was inside the restaurant.
On Saturday Officer Fain responded to Walmart for a two-vehicle accident.
On Saturday Officer Krijci responded to 236 North Wilcox for a stolen vehicle that wrecked and occupants left the scene.
Arrests There was one felony
There was one felony arrest made last week by Officer Fain on Friday on a 15 year old juvenile male for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and also for cruelty to a non-livestock animal.
Incidents Twelve incidents were
Twelve incidents were reported last week. Two for minor in possession of tobacco, and one each for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, cruelty to non-livestock animal, missing person, burglary of habitation, theft ($2,500 to $30,000), criminal mischief (less than $100), assault causes bodily injury family member, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, stalking and continuous violence against family.
Citations
Five citations were issues during the past week. One for displaying expired registration, and two each for failure to report change of address and possession of tobacco by a minor.
Calls for service
The Rockdale Police Department responded to 268 total calls during the past week with 98 being calls for 911 emergency service.
