Rockdale Tigers wide receiver Kesean Raven is one of the most electrifying players in Milam County.

Rated as a three-star recruit by rivals.com, a college recruiting website, Raven has received eight offers from Division I programs looking to secure his talents.

On Tuesday afternoon, Raven released a list via Twitter announcing that he has narrowed his university choices down to five -Arkansas, Texas San-Antonio (UTSA), Nevada Las-Vegas (UNLV), Air Force and Southern Mississippi.

“These are the schools that have been showing me the most love,” Raven said. “They’ve been recruiting me the hardest and I feel like I can make an impact at these schools.”

The 5-9, 154-pound speedster caught 42 passes for 864 yards and 12 total touchdowns last season. He says he’s looking to take his play to another level this season.

“This season I want to show that I have way more talent than what they saw on film,” Raven said.

RHS Athletic Director Jacob Campsey praised Raven for being a leader on the team. He also said Raven’s skills make him tough for any defender who has to guard him.

“He’s super athletic and he’s a very good route runner,” Campsey said. “His quickness makes him a matchup problem for anybody.”

When choosing a college, Raven says he wants to go to school where he can make an immediate impact and develop his skills.

“I want to go to a school where I can play early.” Raven said. “I want to go to a place where I can win games and get better every day.”

Despite releasing his top five, Raven says his recruitment is still open and will still be looking at any schools that offer him a scholarship during this upcoming season. He will have plenty of time to make his decision as National Signing Day isn’t until Feb. 3, 2021 for seniors.
