The Rockdale Rotary Club has started a new program this year giving $1,000 scholarships for continuing education.
This year’s winners are Lily Schweitzer, a 2021 graduate of The University of Texas in Austin with a degree in psychology and a pre-medicine certificate, who is now enrolled in nursing school at Texas A&M University.
Autumn Davenport graduated Texas A&M University in 2017 with a bachelor’s of science in allied health. She is currently enrolled at Texas Tech University in Lubbock, pursuing her master’s degree in healthcare administration.
“The scholarship committee would like to thank all of the applicants who took the time to apply. Each one was well deserving of this scholarship and they hope if they are still enrolled in school next year that they would consider applying again, said Rotary’s Gaye Bland.
