Dozens showed up throughout the day for the Rockdale Police Department’s Family Funfest at Veterans Memorial City Park in town this past Saturday afternoon. Local children and even a few adults got to hang out in the bounce house, play Connect Four and eat hot dogs.
The event was put together in honor of National Crime Victims Rights Week and RPD also partnered with Aware Central Texas, a Temple-based organization that focuses on preventing child abuse and advocates for survivors of family violence and sexual assault.
