The Rockdale Police Department made four felony arrests during the past week.
Officer Ford arrested Andre Lamario Walker, 37, Rockdale, for a warrant for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
Officer Fain arrested Pedro Luis Hernandez, 73, Rockdale, for a warrant for unauthorized use of motor vehicle and a warrant for theft of property ($2,500 to $30,000).
Officer Harden arrested a 15 year old male, Rockdale, for a warrant for cruelty to non-livestock animal and a warrant for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
Officer Fain arrested Christopher Michael Garcia, 44, Rockdale, for local warrants, failure to identify fugitive and giving false information, resisting arrest search or transport, evading arrest or detention with previous conviction, evading arrest with a motor vehicle and parole violation. He also has warrants from the Temple Police Department for falsification of drug test results and evading arrest/detention with previous conviction.
Accidents
Officers Krejci and Ford and Sargent Frankland responded to a two-vehicle major accident on East US 79 and the US 77 off ramp with one vehicle turned on its side. The parties in both vehicles denied injury.
Incidents
The Rockdale Police Department had 13 incidents during the past week. One each for outstanding warrants, theft ($100 to $750) and theft ($750 to $2,500). Two for credit or debit card abuse, one for theft of firearm, two for terroristic threats, two for resisting arrest search or transport, and one each for burglary of a building, burglary of a habitation and sexual assault of a child.
Citations
Eleven citations were issued by the RPD during the past week including five for speeding, one for no insurance, two for expired registration, two for juveniles in possession/purchase/use of tobacco and one for change of name/ mailing address later than 30 days.
Calls for service
The Rockdale Police department responded to 294 calls for service during the past week with 99 being for 911 emergency service.
