RPD makes five felony arrests during past week

The Rockdale Police Department made five felony arrests during the past week.

• Reba Aguirre, 60, Rockdale, was arrested by Officer Harden on a parole warrant for theft (less than $2,500) with priors.

• Jose Eduardo Saldana, 17, Rockdale, was arrested by officer Krejci for no drivers license, tampering with physical evidence with intent to impair and possession of marijuana (less than 2 ounces).

• Christopher Andrew Lopez, 26, Rockdale, was arrested by Officer Ford for tampering/fabricating physical evidence with intent to impair and possession of a controlled substance (1 to 4 grams).

• Andrea Strada Servantez, 43, Bryan, was arrested by Officer Ford for evading arrest detention with vehicle, tampering/fabricating physical evidence with intent to impair and possession of a controlled substance (1 to 4 grams).

• Wayne Ireland Jr., 32, Rockdale, was arrested by Officer Fain for a warrant for criminal mischief ($2,500 to $30,000).

Arrests

Police officers also made seven other arrests during the past week including one each for silent abusive calls to 911, resisting arrest, criminal mischief (less than $100), failure to appear warrant, no drivers license, possession of marijuana (less than 2 ounces), and cruelty to non-livestock animal.

Citations

Rockdale Police officers issued 12 citations last week including one for name change or address change later than 30 days, two for displaying expired registration, failure to maintain financial responsibility (no insurance), three for no drivers license and four for speeding.

Incidents

Rockdale Police officers had several incidents during the past week including two for assault causes bodily injury, and one each for no drivers license, counterfeit forged checks, evading arrest with vehicle, tampering with physical evidence with intent to repair, possession of controlled substance (1 gram to 4 grams), engaging in organized criminal activity and burglary of a building.

Accidents

Officers responded to two accidents during the past week.

• Officer Fain responded to 1035 West Cameron Avenue on Tuesday for a two-vehicle incident with injuries.

• Officer Harden responded to a two-vehicle accident on Wednesday on Cameron Avenue in front of El Corral Lozano.
