The Rockdale Police Department officers made 6 felony arrests during the past week.
• Gina Marie Cavazos, 50, Rockdale, bail jumping and failure to appear felony, bond forfeiture on possession of controlled substance (less than 1 gram), engaging in organized criminal activity.
• Kathryn Marie Rosenberger, 28, San Angelo, possession of controlled substance (1 to 4 grams), motion to proceed on possession of marijuana (less than 2 ounces) in a drug free zone.
• Travis Glen-Lewis Beard, 45, Lexington, unauthorized use of motor vehicle, burglary of building.
• John Joseph Alvarado, 36, Killeen, possession of controlled substance (4 to 200 grams), evading arrest detention with vehicle, evading arrest detention, duty on striking unattended vehicle, violation of parole.
• Danny Ray Morgan, 52, Spring, assault of public servant, unauthorized use of motor vehicle.
• David Anthony Lockett, 42, Rockdale, assault of peace officer or judge, attempt to take weapon from an officer, two counts violation of bond/protective order two or more times in the past 12 months, resist arrest search or transport.
Arrests
RPD officers made nine arrests during the past week. One each for a warrant for failure to appear, possession of drug paraphernalia, evading arrest detention, warrant on duty on striking an unattended vehicle, Capias warrant for failure to report change of address, Capias warrant for failure to appear, DWI, resisting arrest search or transport and violation of a protective order.
Citations
Rockdale Police Officers issued 19 citations during the past week including five for minor in possession of tobacco, three for failure to maintain financial responsibility, two for possession of drug paraphernalia, two for speeding, two for unrestrained child by safety belt, and one each for driving with license invalid, no drivers license, no liability insurance, theft under $100 and expired registration.
Incidents
Rockdale Police Officers responded to 27 incidents during the past week including four interview room incidents, two for theft less than $100, two for assault causes bodily injury family violence, two Class C Capias warrants, two for minor in possession of tobacco, and one each for juvenile runaway, possession of drug paraphernalia, failure to stop and render aid, interview room explosive ordnance disposal, violation of a bond/protective order, possession of controlled substance (1 to 4 grams), DWI, criminal mischief ($100 to $750), injury to elderly, assault causes bodily injury, violation of protective order with two previous convictions, resisting arrest and attempt to take weapon from officer.
Accidents
There were three accidents that the Rockdale Police Department responded to over the past week.
Officer Harden responded to 234 San Gabriel on Tuesday for a truck/motorcycle accident with injuries. The occupant of the motorcycle was life flighted to Scott and White Temple due to his injuries.
Officer Hensley responded to West US 79 near the intermediate school on Wednesday for a two-vehicle accident with injuries.
Sgt. Hubnik responded to FM 487 at Mill Street on Sunday for a two-vehicle accident with no injuries with one vehicle needing to be towed.
