Rockdale Police Department’s Office Catherine Parker arrested Charles Ray Porter, 30, of Rockdale at 7:18 p.m. Saturday on two local warrants for sexual assault and burglary of habitation.
Citations
Rockdale Police officers handed out 16 citations during the past week, including two for speeding, one each for defective lamps, expired driver’s license, no liability insurance, purchase or use of tobacco by a minor and possession of drug paraphernalia; also, two citations each for failure to maintain financial responsibility with insurance and no driver’s license.
Accidents
During the past week RPD officers responded to two wrecks. On Wednesday Sgt. Frankland responded to the roadway in front of USA Food for a two-vehicle accident with no injuries which was moved off the road.
On Monday Officer Ford responded to Coulter/Hillyer for a two-vehicle accident with no injuries.
Service Calls
RPD officers responded to a total of 289 calls for service this week with 112 of them being 911 emergency calls.
