The 31st annual Rockdale Volunteer Fire Department Giveaway Fundraiser on Saturday night provided a night of fun, food and dancing at the KC Hall. Mike Korenek, fundraising chair for the past 31 years, has decided to retire. Gordon Todd buys the auctioned fire helmet every year and has quite a large collection. He donated this year’s helmet to Korenek for his retirement. Joining in the celebration were (L-R) Damon and Amanda Burris, Amy and Steven Caffey, Genella and Mike Korenek, and Gordon and Karen Todd.
