Rockdale ISD Chief Financial Officer Diedra Hall made recommendations to the school board trustees on approval and adoption of resolutions and agreements at the June 7 meeting.
Among the resolutions were the prevailing wage rates for Milam County in accordance with the Davis-Bacon Act as it relates to this year’s bond construction projects; using bond proceeds prior to the bond sale and reimbursing the district for those costs; denying a waiver of penalty and interest for Oncor Electric’s failure to submit tax payments in a timely manner, which the City of Rockdale also denied; and an interlocal agreement between the RISD and Central Texas Council of Government for assistance with grant applications.
Ms. Hall also reviewed the details of the 2023-2024 budget including the general fund, debt service and food service.
The board went into closed session to review details of the Rockdale ISD safety audit as completed by the Region VI Education Service Center.
