School board praises staff for actions

At Monday night’s RISD school board meeting Superintendent Dr. Denise Monzingo reported on the incident that t ook place at the high school last week. She shared the quick response times of the local first responders and implementation of the district's emergency operation plan. The board expressed appreciation to the district staff for handling a crisis in such a responsible manner.

Dr. Monzingo also reported on damages to property and tree loss throughout the district from the recent ice storm in the area. There were no building damages or plumbing issues in the district.
