At Monday’s meeting the RISD School Board recognized the following student groups:
• Academic UIL - Elementary/Intermediate and Junior High.
• The volleyball team was fourth place in District and advanced to Bi-District.
• The Boys Cross Country team was second place in District and advanced to Regional. Jesus Boconegra was second place in District, 10th place at Regional and advanced to State. Yovanney Delgadillo was eighth place at District and advanced to Regional. Cristo Hernandez was fifth Place at District and advanced to Regional. Ciara Miles was 10th place and advanced to Regional.
• The football team was fourth place in District and advanced to Bi-District.
The board approved two students who were recommended for graduation.
The board was informed of the following non-certified personnel hires: Evalia Santos, food service-junior high; Emma Roberts, inclusion aide-junior high; and Jonathan Lucero, groundskeeper.
The board was informed of the following non-certified personnel resignations: Leah Spiers, health science teacher; Mackenzie Woolverton, PE aide-elementary.
The board was informed of the following non-certified personnel transfers: Vicki Falco, junior high food service to intermediate food service.
