On Dec. 22, the Criminal Investigation Division of the Milam County Sheriff’s Office and the Rockdale Police Department’s K-9 Unit executed a search warrant at an address in the 1500 block of County Road 458, south of the City of Thorndale.
This search warrant was the result of the continuing investigation into the Dec. 8 attempted capital murder of Deputy Keith Beasley while conducting a traffi c stop on FM 486 south of Thorndale.
As a result of this search warrant, crystal methamphetamine was recovered. Two individuals were also arrested: Mary Turner is charged with engaging in organized criminal activity for attempted capital murder of a peace officer and possession of methamphetamine. Trisha Guthrie is charged with engaging in organized criminal activity for attempted capital murder of a peace officer and tampering with physical evidence.
