SHERIFF’S REPORT
For the second time in seven days, law enforcement officers are on the lookout for a suspect who fled on foot from the Cameron area.
Officials said a man they believe to be Delaware resident Richard Winkelman fled into a wooded area behind the Cameron Cefco Sunday after he was stopped for driving a stolen motorcycle.
A four-hour search by several law enforcement agencies had not located the suspect by Reporter press-time Tuesday.
On Jan. 14, a subject fled on foot at the Little River “long bridge” near the site of Sunday’s incident.
Demechetrist Garner, 35, of Many, Louisiana, was captured and charged with a variety of offenses, incuding evading arrest.
