The Milano Senior Citizens annual fundraiser will be held at 7 p.m. Saturday at the Milano Civic Center (120 W Avenue E). Kimberlee Leber, a Texas Gospel Blues singer and songwriter will be performing.
Call Jane Friedrichs at 512-455-9560 for tickets or purchase at the door. Ticket prices are $10 for adults; $5 for children 12 and under; and a family can get in for $17.50.
Concessions will be available beginning at 6 p.m. and they will have a variety of sandwiches, pies and chips, and coffee, tea, sodas and water.
SANTA—Santa Claus is coming to Milano early this year. Santa will arrive at Liberty Church on Saturday, Nov. 30. Santa will be available from 3 to 6 p.m. Bring your children and friends and have your pictures taken with Santa.
This is a fundraiser for the Senior Citizens but there is not a set price for pictures. It will be donation. For more information, contact Jane Friedrichs at janefriedrichs1@gmail.com or 512-455-9560.
PARADE—The City of Milano has scheduled its annual Christmas parade and community meal for Saturday, Dec. 14. This year’s parade theme is “The Magic of Santa’s Workshop.”
Line-up will be at 9:30 a.m. at the Milano football field parking lot, judging will take place at 10 a.m. and the parade will kick off at 10:30 a.m.
Plaques will be awarded in each division and a special cash prize will be awarded to the “best overall” entry. Divisions for the parade are: floats, bicycles/walking/small animals, vehicles/tractors, small motorized/battery operated (golf carts, four-wheelers, lawn mowers, etc) and horses/ wagons.
Following the parade, a free community meal will be served at the Milano Civic Center. Winners of the parade will be announced at the meal.
