9 to 11 a.m.—Friday Coffee at the library featuring book signings by authors Nathan Br yan, Susan Cole, Tamara Powell, Shari Seifert, Kristie Self and Martha Wells, as well as the El Camino Real de los Tejas Traveling Exhibit and a 10 a.m. presentation about Dr. Lucile Estell’s Images of Rockdale.
7 p.m.—The Fallback Plan Concert at the Kay Theater.
SATURDAY, JULY 13
9 a.m.—Rare Reptiles and Amphibians of Milam County presented by Herpetologist for Texas Parks & Wildlife Dr. Paul Crump and Diane Barber from the Ft. Worth Zoo at the I&GN Depot.
11 a.m. to noon—Railroad Historical Talk at the I&GN Depot.
10 a.m. to 6 p.m.—Heritage Celebration at The 1895 with historical murals and essays, live music, downtown walking tours, tours of The 1895, kids’ games and face painting.
6 to 11 p.m.—Rockdale 150th Birthday party Gala Dinner and Dance featuring Kenny Orts.
SUNDAY, JULY 14
3 p.m. See The Wizard of Oz at the Kay Theater.
5 to 9 p.m.—Community Birthday Party Picnic at Veterans Park with free pool admission, a Communities in Concert Band performance of Sousapolkapalooza and the burial of the 2024 time capsule.
