—The heavy rainfall preceding and during the 2018 Rockdale Fair is gone but not forgotten. City Manager Chris Whittaker said the city will take a look at damage from the rains which also affected city roads around the park. This lingering “short cut” is at the Patterson Center where one driver found a novel way to get from the center’s western parking lot to the Mill Street Driveway. More than five inches of precipitation fell.
