Six felony arrests made by RPD, one accident reported

Rockdale Police Officers made six felony arrests during the past seven days including:

• Troy Alden Whiteside, 43, Rockdale, was arrested on Wednesday on two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and attempted capital murder, transported directly to the Milam County jail.

• Pedro Salcedo, 42, Rockdale, was arrested on Friday by Ofc. Lentz for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

• Christopher Moreno, 26, Rockdale, was arrested on Saturday by Ofc. Lentz for possession of a controlled substance (less than 1 gram).

• Jennifer Strelsky, 37, Rockdale, was arrested on Sunday by Ofc. Wall for possession of a controlled substance (4 to 200 grams).

• Kiki Cashaw, 38, Rockdale, was arrested Sunday by Ofc. Lentz for possession of a controlled substance (less than 1 gram) and for unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon.

• Jorge Melendez, 48, Ft, Worth was arrested on Sunday by Ofc, Wall for DWI third or more.

Accidents

Sgt. Parker responded to US 79 at FM 486 in Thorndale for a two-vehicle accident.

Arrests

RPD officers made 11 arrests during the past week including three for RPD warrants for failure to appear, and one each for an RPD warrant for animal at large, a Milam County warrant for bond forfeiture on displaying a fictitious vehicle registration, an RPD warrant for expired registration, a warrant for failure to maintain financial responsibility, a warrant for driving with license expired, expired drivers’ license, expired registration and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Calls for service

Rockdale Police Officers responded to 267 total calls for service during the past week with 134 calls being for 911 emergency service.

Incident report

There were 22 incidents on the report for the past seven days including three for outstanding warrants, two each for incident report only, forgery, possession of controlled substance (less than 1 gram) and theft. One each for animal at large, fraud, expired drivers license, expired registration, possession of drug paraphernalia, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, attempted capital murder, theft (less than $100), possession of a controlled substance (4 to 200 grams), unlawful possession of a firearm and DWI third or more.
