SLR to implode Units 4, 5

EXPLOSIONS COMING SOON— Sandow Steam Electric Station Units 4 and 5 will be demolished in a series of carefully controlled implosions over the next few months. The first will probably occur within the next three weeks according to sources at SLR. It will be a smaller implosion to get rid of the smokestacks and some concrete structures. A much larger implosion will occur in December or January, getting rid of the remainder of the two power generating units.
