A total eclipse of the sun will happen in Rockdale on April 8 at around 1:37 p.m. in Rockdale and Cameron and will last approximately four minutes and 18 seconds. This group of city and county first responders and officials, along with the Chamber of Commerce, attended a planning event on Thursday at the Rockdale VFD meeting room. The RVFD also provided chili with all the fixings. Texas Department of Emergency Management County Liaison Officer John Pelath provided a PowerPoint presentation and discussed the development tactics and plan of action.
