Wake Aquatics award ceremony
On Saturday, Rockdale’s competitive swimming team Wake Aquatics is holding an award ceremony at the City Pool for all it’s participants during the 2021 season.
The team, in their inaugural season, had 18 kids qualify for the Summer Games of Texas last month.
The event is scheduled for 6 p.m.
RJH athletics issues equipment
Rockdale Junior High is issuing equipment this Friday.
Both football and volleyball players can come pick up needed gear for the 2021 season from 9:30-11 a.m. and 1:30-3 p.m. at the locker rooms.
Junior high football players may buy their own cleats but they must be black, blue, white, gray or any combination of those colors.
Practice for football and volleyball begins Monday, Aug. 23, with seventh graders starting before school from 7:30- 9:15 a.m. and eighth graders after from 3:28-5:15 p.m.
All athletes must have physicals and medical history form turned in and on file the first week of school. All other paperwork is now online on the Rockdale ISD website and must be completed by then as well. RJH will hand out equipment to those who did not come to early issue date on the 1st day of school, Aug. 15.
