SHERIFF’S REPORT
The approach of spring apparently brought out the scammers during the week as the Milam County Sheriff’s Department answered three scam attempts, one in the Thorndale area.
The other two reports were in the Cameron area

March 14—Information, CR 455, Thorndale area; motorist assist, US 190; information, FM 1600, Cameron area; unattended death/natural, CR 342, Milano area; verbal dispute, Texas 36, south of Milano; call to controlled burn, FM 487, south of Rockdale.
Thursday—Welfare check, FM 112, southwest Milam County; dog in yard, US 79, east of Milano; information, CR 425, Thorndale area; scam attempt, CR 241, Cameron area.

There were also 15 calls to livestock on roadways.
