Springf ield Baptist Church has a new pastor. The congregation welcomed Rev. Rodney Geter and First Lady Kelly about three weeks ago.
Rev. Geter is originally from Orange but has been with Mt. Sinai Church in Austin as Associate Minister and the Music Ministry since 2010.
He married Kelly Geter in 2015, and they built a house in Elgin where they will reside.
