Good-looking horses, lush green grass and a brilliant field of Indian Paint Brushes, this scene west of Rockdale, off US 79, just radiates “Texas.” Perhaps all it needs is an oil well. The spring flowers are out now in the area and it seems to be a particularly good year for the bright red Paint Brushes. Flowers are trying to survive the weekly storms.
