In a week which saw 80-dgree temperatures, sleet and snow flurries, something wonderful happened. The tulip tree at the steps of St. Thomas Episcopal Church leaped into life, burst into bloom and showered the church’s front steps with a delicate purple and white carpet leading upward to the sanctuary door. Spring starts March 20.
