Rockdale citywide Stash Your Trash program will be Oct. 3 from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Fair Park on Mill Avenue. The event is for residents of Rockdale only. Residency will be checked by a driver’s license and a water bill.
This year because of COVID-19 masks will be required and social distancing of 6 feet will be enforced.
As in the past, no motor oil or tires will be accepted. Also unacceptable are batteries and any items that contain refrigerants, haz ardous chemicals or undried paint.
Residents who attend are asked to separate metal from the regular trash items.
Also, residents can trim tree limbs, especially those close to their curbs and bring those limbs to the park. There will be free chipping for those limbs that are four feet and shorter at the park.
Those attending can enter the Main Gate on Mill Avenue and follow signs to the disposal area, then exit on Roberts Street.
