There was lots of action again during the past week at the site of the new Rockdale Police Station, Green at Cameron (US 79). Structural steel went up and is continuing. Plumbing and drainage work has been completed and a slab poured. City Manager Chris Whittaker said the project remains on schedule for a March, 2019 opening and beginning of operation. It replaces a 123-year-old building on the other end of downtown.
