A trailer loaded with tires and wheels, part of a stop during the week in Brazos County, was linked to a theft from a Rockdale business.
Police Chief Thomas Harris said the items had been stolen from Rockdale Auto Specialties.
“It’s likely this case will be handled in Brazos County,” he said.
Harris said the tires and wheels were returned to the Rockdale business.
ACCIDENTS-Police responded to a pair of accidents during the past week in Rockdale.
A two-vehicle collision on front of the Rockdale Post office at 8:04 a.m. Friday involved vehicles operated by Carol Simank of Rockdale and Hollie Mashburn of Temple.
Police termed damages as minor.
Minor damages were also reported in a two-vehicle collision at 1:42 p.m. Friday in front of Citizens National Bank on West Cameron Avenue (US 79).
Drivers were listed as Stella Booker of Rockdale and Megan Newton of Thorndale.
OFFENSES-Police said a missing person/juvenile investigation involved a Child Protective Services matter.
Other offense investigations begun during the week included theft, public intoxication and assault of family/household member with previous conviction.
Police served eight warrants, all issued through the Rockdale PD.
CITATIONS-There were 53 citations issued by police during the week including 35 for speeding, seven for expired registration and four for failure to maintain financial responsibility.
SERVICE CALLS-Police Department officers responded to 124 calls for service during the seven-day reporting period and there were 74 calls to the 911 emergency system through the Rockdale Police Station.
