Rockdale police responded to a report of a stolen vehicle Friday evening and ended up making two arrests on several charges.
Police Chief Thomas Harris said the vehicle was reported stolen in the Lexington area and was driven to Rockdale.
Arrested were:
• Cameron Trey Allen, 22, Lexington, identified as the driver, charged with possession of controlled substance (1 to 4 grams), unauthorized use of vehicle. He remained in custody on $20,000 bond Tuesday.
Heather Nicole Aucoin, 24, Caldwell, identified as the passenger, charged with possession of controlled substance (1 to 4 grams), tampering/fabricating physical evidence with intent to impair, prohibited substance/item in correcti0nal/ civic/community facility. She remained in custody Tuesday on $45,000 bond.
Police investigated a pair of traffic accidents during the past week.
Police said pickups driven by Davin Stephens of Burlington and James McQuinn of Rockdale were in collision at 6:31 a.m. Thursday at the intersection of West Cameron (US 79) and Wilcox (FM 487).
Police said there were no injuries and termed damages “minor.”
Minor damages, and no injuries were reported at 2:02 p.m. Monday in the Brookshire Bros. parking lot.
Police said drivers were Brandon Mitchell of Hot Springs. Arkansas, and Frank Summers of Cameron.
CITATIONS—There were 26 citations issued during the week including 13 for speeding, three for driving while license invalid and one each f0r animal at large, no proof of rabies vaccination, assault by contact/threat, city ordinance violation, defective brakes, expired registration, displaying wrong/fictitious registration, driving while license invalid, failure to change address and running a red light.
SERVICE CALLS—Officers responded to 163 calls for service during the past week and there were 91 calls received through the 911 emergency system at the Rockdale Police Station.
