Superintendent Denise Monzingo presented the state of the district at the Rockdale ISD school board meeting Monday night in the district’s conference center on the high school campus.
She presented an overview that included the progress campuses have made to recover from academic gaps created by the school closures in the spring of the year.
The progress the district has made in athletics and College and Career Readiness.
There is a mentoring plan put in place this year.
The communication strategies the district has used to keep staff and parents informed during the transition from school closure back to campus instruction.
She also presented an overview of the funding sources the district utilized to provide support for COVID-19 needs and the district’s processes to identify COVID exposure, contact tracing, monitoring and reporting.
