A 24-year-old Rockdale woman turned herself in Sunday to face charges over what police said was an illegal tattoo.

Lt. Stephen Goodrich said police obtained a warrant after alleging a 13-year-old female had been tattooed.

Beth Ann Davis, 24, was charged with abandon/endangering child, tattoo/body piercing license required and tattoo person under age 18.

At presstime Tuesday, she remained in custody on $24,000 bond.

DRUG ARREST—Police were called to a Rockdale neighborhood Monday after receiving a report a driver had hit a mailbox and was driving erratically.

Goodrich said the driver was stopped and police found 10 grams of Xanax and “some high grade marijuana.”

Quentin Tarik White was charged with manufacture/ delivery of controlled substance (3 to 28 grams), possession of marijuana and reckless driving.

Bond information was not available.

COUNTERFEIT—Police said some counterfeit money turned up during the past week but it was not related to the rush of “funny money,” bills made for use in films or stage plays, which had been reported for the past few weeks.

Other offense investigations begun during the past week included burglary of a habitation, animal at large, assault by contact, assault causing bodily injury, theft and unlawfully carrying a weapon.

ACCIDENT—Police and the Rockdale VFD were called to a four-vehicle collision at 12:54 p.m. Friday at the Meadow-West Cameron (US 79) intersection.

Drivers were listed as Alyssa Rosales of Round Rock, Elyse Guerra of Austin, Tristian Gage of Rock-dale and Alex Briggs of Meadow Lakes.

Police said moderate damages were reported to all four vehicles.

CITATIONS—Police issued 19 citations during the past week including four for speeding, three each for driving while license invalid and no rabies vaccination, two each for animal at large and expired registration and one each for assault by contact/threat, no seat belt-driver, running a red light and violation of driver’s license restriction code.

SERVICE CALLS— Rockdale PD officers responded to 133 calls for service during the past week and there were 87 calls received through the 911 emergency system.
