Sandow Lakes Ranch (SLR) recently presented $2,250 to eight local volunteer fire departments: Rockdale, Milano, Thorndale, Lexington, Tanglewood, Cameron, Minerva and Rosebud. These departments responded to two separate fires on the SLR property. Gardenhire thanked the representatives of the VFDs and stated that the assistance of these Volunteer Fire Departments in controlling and extinguishing the brush fires was invaluable. He further stated that he appreciated the long-standing commitment from these fire departments in protecting residents from the dangers of fire and related hazards.
