Rockdale’s annual interdenominational Community Thanksgiving Service will get a new date in 2019.
The traditional service, sponsored by the Rockdale Ministerial Alliance, is set for 6 p.m. Sunday at Meadowbrook Baptist Church.
In previous years the service has been held the Tuesday before Thanksgiving.
Speaker on Sunday will be Rev. John Seaton, pastor of St. John’s United Methodist Church and also president of the Rockdale Ministerial Alliance.
Rev. Stephen Ammons of Meadowbrook Baptist, said several local pastors will take part in the service including Rev. R. L. Love of First Assembly of God, Rev. Royal Johnson of Rising Star Baptist and Rev. Matt Higginbotham of First Baptist.
Music will be provided by the Meadowbrook Baptist Choir.
Rev. Ammons said the service will include an offering which will go to the Ministerial Alliance.
Light refreshments will be served.
