Rylan Barber, being held by her mother, Trina, tries to get mom to follow the path of a departing Painted Lady butterfly outside the city library. The library’s Judy Shelander (L) released six of the “newborns” as part of a Story Time project. The library purchased six caterpillars on March 20, they advanced to the chrysalis stage in 10 days and hatched April 8.
