The third suspect in the April 27 murder of Jeffrey McKinney was arrested at a home in Bellville on June 14. Isaac J. Carrizales was taken into custody by members of U.S. Marshall’s Violent Offenders Task Force and is currently in the Milam County Jail.
Carrizales is charged with engaging in organized criminal activity-murder.
COUFAL— A Milam County g r a nd ju r y found there was enough evidence to move forward with a murder trial for Colton Coufal, who was indicted for the December 2021 murder of his mother, Christi Coufal.
Colton Coufal was immediately a suspect and has been in the Milam County Jail since his mother’s body was found in the San Gabriel River near Apache Pass after she was reported missing.
This matter was presented to the grand jury by the Milam County Sheriff’s Office and the Texas Rangers. This case is being prosecuted by District Attorney Bill Torrey.
