POLICE REPORT
Rockdale police investigated three traffic accidents during the past week.
Also during the week a 27-year-old Rockdale woman died in the city jail. Police said she hung herself and the Texas Rangers are investigating. (See story page 1A).
ACCIDENTS—Moderate damages were reported in a two-vehicle collision at 5:18 p.m. Sunday at the Walmart entrance.
Drivers were listed as Billy Hales and James Weller, both of Rockdale.
Police were called to the 600 block of Dyer at 9:32 a.m. Thursday for a reported accident.
They said a pickup driven by Charles Hall of Rock-dale was in collision with a parked car owned by Ran Grinnell of Snyder. Minor damages were reported.
Moderate to minor damages were reported in a 1:41 p.m. Saturday collision in the 500 block of West Cameron.
Drivers were listed as Terrilyn Jones and Melinda Parker, both of Rockdale.
INCIDENTS—Police opened a number of new cases during the week including a reported stolen firearm, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and a call to a domestic situation.
CITATIONS—Police issued 78 citations during the past week including 59 speeding tickets.
Other citations included nine for expired registration, four for driving while license invalid, three for failure to report change of address and one each for failure to maintain financial responsibility-and no driver’s license.
SERVICE CALLS—
Officers responded to 102 calls for service during the past week and there were 65 calls received through the 911 emergency system.
