Three arrested on felony warrants

Rockdale Police Officers made three felony arrests during the past week including:

• Billy Charles Pearson, 57, Rockdale, was arrested by Officer Krejci on Thursday for a warrant for burglary of habitation, resisting arrest and tamper/fabricate physical evidence.

• Lindsey Renee Sessums, 40, Rockdale was arrested on Saturday by Officer Hensley for possession of a controlled substance (less than 1 gram) and for four Class C warrants.

• Wesley Eugene Parker, 46, Rockdale, was arrested by Sargent Fain on Monday for unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon.

Calls for Service

Rockdale Police Officers responded to 231 calls for service during the past week with 72 calls for 911 emergency service.

Arrests

RPD Officers made eight arrests during the past week including two for failure to appear warrants, and one each for assault by contact, speeding, driving with license invalid, minor in possession of alcohol, possession of drug paraphernalia and resisting arrest.

Citations

Rockdale Police Officers issued 13 citations during the past week including two for Class C assault, two for driving with license invalid and one each for displaying wrong/fictitious registration, disregarding official traffic control device, expired registration, failure to use turn signal, minor in possession, no liability insurance, operating vehicle without a license plate, parking in a no parking zone and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Incident Report

There were 18 incidents on the report during the past week including two each for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and warrant service, and one each for possession of drug paraphernalia, burglary of a building, criminal mischief, failure to identify fugitive by giving false information, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, resisting arrest, tampering with evidence, minor in possession, criminal mischief ($100 to $750), possession of controlled substance (less than 1 gram), unlawful possession of a firearm by felon and attempted burglary.

Accidents

RPD Officers responded to two accidents during the past week including:

• Officer Hensley responded to West Cameron/Wilcox on Thursday for a two-vehicle accident with injuries blocking the roadway.

• Chief Meadors responded to a two-vehicle accident in front of the police station at Cameron and Green Streets. Officer Parker also responded with Rockdale VFD and AMR.
