Nominations for 2019 awards to be presented at the March 28 Chamber of Commerce & Visitor Center Banquet are due by Monday, Feb. 11.
Denise Brock, Chamber/ Visitor Center office manager, said all nominees “must have provided a significant contribution of service.”
Awards are:
• Citizen of the year—Significant contributions in 2018.
• Outstanding citizen—Contributions throughout the years.
• Organization of the year—Nominee must be a non-profit community organization for contributions in 2018.
• Business of the year—Nominee must have made a significant contribution to the Rockdale community. Award can be for the business owner or its employees/ business as a whole.
Brock said the 2018 Rockdale Chamber Banquet will again be held at the KC Hall. Theme is "Lights, Camera, Action: Walking the Red Carpet." Those attending are asked to dress the part.
A cocktail hour with appetizers from 6 t0 7 p.m. will precede the 7 p.m. banquet.
