The Rockdale Police Department’s officer of the year and Rockdale Volunteer Fire Department’s firefighter of the year will be honored at a banquet and dance Saturday at the KC Hall.
Doors open at 5 p.m. with the meal at 6:30.
In addition to those awards, several others will be presented and members of both departments will be recognized.
A dance follows the short program.
The annual banquet is not funded by tax dollars. Money is raised through donations from the public and business owners and from fund-raisers throughout the year.
