Two persons were charged with possession of methamphetamine after a traffic stop last Wednesday night, according to Police Chief Thomas Harris.
Arrested were Aaron Adrian Wright, 29, of Austin and 18-year-old Beth Ann Lynn Fernander of Buda.
Both were charged with possession of marijuana (less than two ounces), possession of controlled substance (less than one gram). Each was released on $6,500 bond.
Other felony arrests during the past week:
• David Allen Green, 25, Rockdale, theft of firearm, released on $5,000 bond.
• Marcus Wayne Moore, 21, Rockdale, Milam County warrants for burglary of building and criminal mischief ($100 to $750), released on $10,000 bond.
• Tanner Scott Hoffman, 26, Rockdale, possession of dangerous drug, possession of controlled substance (1 to 4 grams), possession of marijuana (less than two ounces), released on $13,500 bond.
OFFENSES—Harris said a window was broken at Midway Grocery and tobacco products and a small amout of cash were taken from the convenience store.
Other offenses investigated by police during the past week included criminal mischief, possession of marijuana, theft, resisting arrest, search or transport, duty on striking fixture, assault by contact/threat and assault causes bodily injury.
CITATIONS—Pol ic e issued 29 citations during the past week including 14 for speeding, three for no insurance, two each for open container in motor vehicle/ driver, animal at large, no rabies vaccination, failure to report change of address or name, possession of drug paraphernalia, open container in motor vehicle/passenger, display wrong or fictitious license plate, driving in center turn lane and no seat belt/passenger.
SERVICE CALLS—Officers responded to 183 calls for service during the past seven days and there were 188 calls received through the 911 emergency system at the Rockdale Police Department.
ACCIDENTS—No accidents were reported in the city during the week.
