CORPUS CHRISTI—Agricultural leaders from Milam County Farm Bureau attended the 85th Texas Farm Bureau Annual Meeting recently in Corpus Christi.
Durwood and Darleen Tucker joined more than 850 voting delegates from County Farm Bureaus across the state to discuss the latest agricultural issues, including eminent domain, food labeling, feral hog control and better transportation needs for agricultural commodities; the recognition of top county Farm Bureaus, their leaders and individuals who make a difference in agriculture and Texas; and evaluation of the organization’s policies.
County delegates voted on proposed policy changes during the meeting. Approved recommendations on national policies advance to the annual meeting in January in New Orleans.
