Two persons were injured in separate Rockdale-area rural road accidents during the past week.
State Trooper Josh Hendricks said a motorcycle operated by Robby Rundell, 47, of Rockdale, collided with a deer at 7:30 p.m. Sunday on Cypress Trail Road southwest of Rockdale.
Rundell was taken to Baylor Scott & White Hospital, Temple, for treatment.
The Rockdale VFD also responded.
Just minutes before, at 7:30 p.m., the DPS was called to an accident on FM 487 northwest of CR 426.
Trooper Jacob Luna said the driver, Francisco Ramos Jr. of Temple was treated at Little River-Rockdale Hospital following the accident.
Vehicle damage was termed extensive.
ACCIDENTS—No injuries were reported in three other Rockdale-area accidents during the week.
Troopers said a two-vehicle accident at 7:20 a.m. on Sept. 26 on Texas 36 included vehicles operated by Courtney Dodge, 38, of Salado and 43-year-old Bobby Van Winkle of Cameron.
Vehicle damages were termed moderate.
Moderate to minor damages were reported in a two-vehicle collision at 11:22 a.m. Saturday on US 79 northeast of County Road 446.
Drivers were listed as Claudia Burkhaulter, 42, of Taylor and Stanley Stork, 55, of Rockdale.
Minor damage was reported in a one-vehicle accident at 3:45 a.m. Saturday on County Road 429, near FM 908. Driver was listed as Christopher Fetzner, 35, of Coleman.
