POLICE REPORT

There were two pursuits for Rockdale police during the past week but neither one will turn up on any chase highlights show.

One only went a few blocks and the other never left a parking lot.

Last Tuesday police were called to Gill’s Stop-N-Go for a report of a suspect pulling a knife, according to Lt. Stephen Goodrich.

Goodrich said the vehicle led police on a short chase of a few blocks, to the suspect’s Rice Street address where an arrest was made.

Benny Earl Green, 42, of Rockdale was charged with evading arrest/detention with vehicle and parole violation. He remains in custody. Bond was denied on the parole violation, with $15,000 bond on other charge.

Goodrich said police responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle in the Walmart parking lot on Monday.

“The driver attempted to evade police, going around behind the store and emerging on the other side,” Goodrich said. “He was finally taken into custody without the ‘chase’ ever leaving the parking lot.

Cody Daniel Gregorson, 30, of Taylor, was charged with evading arrest/detention with vehicle. Other booking information was not available at presstime.

SEX ASSAULT— Goodrich said police are investigating a sex assault report involving a 16-year-old female victim and have identified a suspect.

ACCIDENTS—Police said vehicles driven by Donald Brummett of Rockdale and David Pahn of Thorn-dale were in collision at 5:06 p.m. Oct. 22 in the Walmart parking lot.

Damages were termed minor.

According to police, a hit-and-run accident was reported at 6:56 p.m. Thursday in the O’Rielly’s parking lot in which a parked vehicles registered to Marlayna Brady-Tovar of Rockdale was struck by an unknown vehicle.
