This quilt, made of a veteran’s uniforms, will be awarded in a fundraiser June 14 (Flag Day) by American Legion Carlyle Post 358. Member Mitch Dixon (R) donated the quilt, which was made by his sister-in-law, Shirley, using uniforms worn by her son, WO4 Jerry Tembelton, during his 21-year military career. Helping display the quilt is post chaplain Jim Fisher (L). Donation tickets are $10 each of 6 for $50 and will be available during the Veterans Day ceremony Monday at Post 358 or by calling 254-482-0834 or 408-472-5272.
