Vacation Bible schools offer a variety of activities with a Christian message for students of all ages.
These are the programs in the area:
June 3-6 – Meadowbrook Baptist Church will host VBS “In the Wild Amazing Encounters with Jesus” from 9 a.m.-noon at 1401 Colorado Ave., Rockdale.

June 3-7 – The First Baptist Church of Thorndale’s five-day African adventure called “Life is wild, God is good.”
Students can register at 100 Sydney Blvd., Thorndale. Bible school starts 9 a.m.-noon June 3-7.
June 5-8 – Milam County Cowboy Church VBS Miraculous Mission kickoff is set for 5:30-8 p.m., Wednesday at 2100 N. Hwy 77, Rockdale.
Students in pre-K to fifth grade can register by calling Samantha Ordones 512-430-2832. Bible school times are Thursday and Friday 6-8:30 p.m. and Saturday 9 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
June 17-21 – New Jersusalem Interdenominational Church will host “The Incredible Race” VBS camp from 5-7 p.m. at 103 Mulberry.

July 22-25 – “Knightly Virtues” VBS at Murray Street Church will take place in the evening.
Pre-K to sixth grade students are invited to register for camp and junior and high school aged students will be camp instructors/ helpers.

July 29-Aug. 1 – VBS at St. John’s UMC will be hosted by St. John’s United Methodist Church and Peace Lutheran Church.
This year’s theme is “To Mars and Beyond. Registeration information will be available near the end of June.

Church group asks for worksite help
St. John’s United Methodist Church will be hosting Big House camp June 26-30 and is seeking help finding worksites for the students while they visit.
