Rockdale Police recovered a vehicle last Wednesday which had been reported stolen and arrested a 16-year-old juvenile female.

Lt. Stephen Goodrich said the vehicle had sustained some damage.

He said the juvenile was charged with unauthorized use of motor vehicle and was released to a parent.

OFFENSES—Police are investigating a report of criminal mischief on Houston Street in which the windows of a church were broken out.

Lt. Goodrich said police are investigating a complex report of motor vehicle theft in which a complainant said a vehicle acquired in a tax sale was dragged back across a property line to property that’s currently the subject of a court case.

Police are also investigating a report of forgery in which checks were written to a “fraudulent account” at a local financial institution, according to Goodrich.

He said police are continuing to investigate a reported sexual assault and an incident in which property was removed from a camper.

Other cases reported to police during the past seven days include an animal bite, disorderly conduct, terroristic threat and theft of property.

ACCIDENT—Police were called to one motor vehicle accident inside the city limits during the past week.

Police said the accident was reported at the Murray Street Church of Christ parking lot at 8:16 p.m. April 3.

Drivers were listed as Linda Christopher and Kimberly Wettstein, both of Rock-dale.

Damages were termed minor to both vehicles.

CITATIONS—Citations issued over the past week included 19 for speeding, four for displaying expired registration and one each for assault, disorderly conduct/language, driving while license invalid, expired driver’s license, expired motor vehicle inspection, no driver’s license, possession of drug paraphernalia and violation of DL restriction code.

SERVICE CALLS— There were 156 calls for service and 86 calls received through the 911 system.
